Born in 1989 in Brussels, with a degree in History of Modern and Contemporary Art (BA at the Université libre de Bruxelles and MA at the Université catholique de Louvain-la-Neuve), I have been working since 2015 as an exhibition curator, cultural mediator, writer (member of AICA) and teacher (at the ArBA-ESA/Royal Academy of Fine Arts – Brussels). I have collaborated with several institutions (Bozar, Wiels, Iselp), art galleries and alternative spaces (Greylight Projects) and I am since 2019, associate curator at SB34-The Pool.
In my projects, I pay particular attention to the modalities of production, visibility and sociality at work in the field of the exhibition. My curatorial approach is contextual, discerning the articulation of the artwork to its site as both revealing its institutional idioms and inscribing narrative counterproposals. I am more specifically interested in the intersections between visual and language-based practices, their protocolary modalities of creation and their transpositions in space. In asserting the plurivocality of relational dynamics in the artistic and scholarly fields, I consider the stakes of the repetition, recollection and reference as a means to play with the constraints of meaning and practicality, to undo the injunction to clear modes of communication and to counter contemporary models of classification.
