Law graduate from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid with postgraduate studies in European Affairs and Cultural Institution Management. She trained as a broker at Barry Rogliano Salles, Paris and as a risk analyst in Barclays Bank’s International Risk Management Department in London. After living in Paris and London, she returned to Madrid to work as Coordinator of the International Fashion Week in Madrid and the Trade Fair Convention Centre, Feria de Madrid, later taking up the position, for six years, as Commercial Director of ARCO, the International Contemporary Art Fair of Madrid, Spain. In August 2006, a year prior to its official opening, she arrived at LABoral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial in Gijón (Spain) to work with the founding Director in launching the project as its General Coordinator and Head of Public Programmes. In September 2011 she was appointed Managing Director as well as Secretary General of LABoral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial, a position that she has held until the recent nomination as General Director of iMAL (Interactive Media Art Laboratory) in Brussels.
