Claire Leblanc is Ph.Doctor in Art History (ULB) and is Director of the Musée d’Ixelles since 2006, after having been Scientific collaborator at the Royal Museums of Art and History (1999-2006) and at the Museum voor Schone Kunsten in Ghent (1997-1999).
She is curator and author of numerous articles and books dedicated to Belgian art of the 19th, 20th and contemporary art.
In the course of her career, she has studied pictorialist photography, the relationship between art and industry, the notion of modernity in the field of art, and recently the more specific theme of the “Cloud”, which allows her to work about notions such as ephemerality, transience, metamorphosis, etc.
